Also occurring during the Annual EDULOG Conference is the 7th Annual Student Transportation Leaders Conference. The STLC is always a great venue for transportation professionals to further and better their practices and techniques by learning from other transportation professionals. Essentially, the conference provide leaders with tips, tricks, techniques, and new ideas to make significant and meaningful changes that lead to greater efficiencies and improvements.
Touted as one the best and most progressive conferences for transportation leaders, the 7th Annual Student Transportation Leaders Conference will give leaders additional ideas and tools to better your transportation operation.
The STLC gives transportation leaders a chance to share solutions, concerns, and ideas on the most important issues facing pupil transportation leaders. Perhaps you're struggling with providing services because of a smaller budget, or maybe you want to hear first-hand how a district performed and implemented a redistricting project? If you are looking for new ideas, insights, and strategies, the STLC is the place to go.
By bringing together some of the most progressive, forward-thinkers in the industry, the STLC gives transportation leaders the opportunity to brainstorm and learn what has worked for other leaders and what hasn't. Each individual brings with them a unique perspective and experience which is shared collectively for the benefit of everyone. It's truly a great experience and leaders always leave with fresh, new ideas and strategies.
Just like every year, EDULOG aims at making the STLC not only beneficial to attendants, but the best pupil transportation leader conference in the industry - period!
We welcome and highly recommend you attend the 7th Annual International EDULOG User Group meeting occurring on Sunday, March 18th, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, in Clark County, Nevada. The UG meeting gives you another chance to share ideas, problems, network with peers and EDULOG staff, and more.
By attending the international user group meeting you're basically a VIP member: you get to register early and beat the crowds, and you have more time to network with EDULOG staffers and others who belong to the user group. In allot of ways, being part of the user group makes a large world smaller by creating a more intimate atmosphere where you get to know fellow users better - especially on a regional basis.
After registration, a software review will be presented that highlights enhancements of our existing programs, as well as EDULOG's newest products and services. The meeting will also give attendants an opportunity to discuss what you liked or disliked about our webinars, e-news, and what you'd like to see in 2012 and beyond. All user group international attendants will receive a free EDULOG T-shirt as well. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity.
One of the best ways to truly test your knowledge is through EDULOG's certification process. Do you think you know the ins and outs of one of our programs? Then challenge yourself by testing your knowledge. Not only will you have the peace of mind knowing that your are more than proficient with our software, but you'll have the certificate to proudly display.
EDULOG offers certifications on a variety of our modules and taking classes prior to the certification testing is recommended. Users can sign up for as many certification tests as they want. The certification testing sessions will be supervised; however, staff will not be allowed to answer questions during the testing period.
EDULOG is offering seven different certification tests during the 2012 Annual Conference: GPS, Redistricting, Optimization, Reports, Mapping, FieldTrip, and Advance User. The first certification test will cost $100; additional certification tests will cost $50. There will be eight separate sessions (roughly two per day) that attendees can choose from to take any certification test they wish. The sessions are an hour-and-a-half long and attendees can take as many tests as they would like during a session, as long as the tests are completed by the end of the session.
Participants also have the opportunity to take re-certification tests, for those who have previously taken a certification test before. The re-certification tests are a great way to bring yourself up to speed on things that you may have forgotten about. Some of our clients take re-certification classes every year during our annual conference. Re-certification testing costs $100 for the first test and $50 for additional tests.
For attendees taking a beginner or intermediate class, or a certification test a laptop will be needed. EDULOG will have laptops available to rent, or data can be purchased and downloaded to the attendees personal laptop. Note that the following requirements are necessary in order for this download to be successful:
Operating System:
Only Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista Business, Enterprise or Ultimate Edition can be used. Windows 95/98, NT and Windows XP Home Edition CANNOT BE USED!
Hardware:
Laptop should have at least a 2GB hard drive, 256 MB of RAM, and a Pentium III 800 MHz or faster processor (or AMD equivalent).
Data:
All laptops will be loaded with EDULOG Conference Data. Many of the courses require data that has been calibrated and tested for operation. Using our data prevents class interruptions and guarantees identical results during each session. Districts are not allowed to use their data.
Please Note - If you are planning to use a laptop loaded with EDULOG.NT or if you have Windows 7, please contact EDULOG Support prior to installation.
IF YOUR LAPTOP IS YOUR MAIN EDULOG SERVER, OR NETBOOK COMPUTER, IT CANNOT BE USED FOR THE CONFERENCE.
Verification:
In order to ensure that the conference data has been installed correctly, please contact EDULOG Support by February 21st, 2012 after installing the software. A support technician will dial into your machine to ensure stability of the data.
EDULOG Support can be reached at (406) 728-0893 ext. 3146

The Beginner and Intermediate tracks are intended for new users of EDULOG or users with limited system training. The courses are taught in a hands-on, computer lab format. You may rent a laptop from EDULOG or bring your own but you must use the conference data that has been specifically formatted for the 2012 Annual EDULOG Training Conference coures. In addition to the Beginner and Intermediate courses, all certification testing requires the use of a laptop. Please see the fees page for additional information.
The remaining sessions are designed to show more advanced users how to take the EDULOG system to the next level. These sessions are not taught in a hands-on format. You are welcome to bring a laptop but the instructor will not be training in a computer lab environment.
For your convenience, we've provided two ways to view the courses and schedule. The COURSE LISTING BY TITLE allows you to easily print all courses and their full descriptions. We've also included a COURSE LISTING BY SCHEDULE, an interactive schedule which shows when the sessions are available.
Kick off the 2012 Annual EDULOG Conference with a meet and greet social that will begin one day before the conference on Sunday, March 18. Pre-registrations will be occurring during the same time.
The social will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on the 18th in the Flamingo Hotel, located in Clark County, Nevada. The event will feature drinks and appetizers and provides great opportunities to network with members of the transportation community and EDULOG staffers alike.
EDULOG's social is routinely touted as an enjoyable and engaging event that often creates lasting professional work relationships. See you there!
