Description: Case Study - Implementing Bell-time changes - Pender County Schools, NC
Pender County schools in North Carolina engaged with Edulog's Advisory Services Group to help implement a change in their school time structure. The district had previously operated a two tier bell time schedule across the entire district, but the recent decade of growth across the county has made this schedule untenable for the eastern schools along the coast.
Pender engaged in a period of study with Edulog to determine where the bell time schedule might be improved for transportation. The study identified a three-tier configuration for the eastern side of the district that would improve service and avoid any increases in bus routes. Both the district and Edulog worked together to implement the solution for start of the 2025-26 school year. Explore this case study alongside Spencer Jenko.

Description: Case Study – Implementing Efficiency changes - Berkeley County Schools, WV
Berkeley County schools in West Virginia, engaged with Edulog's Advisory Services Group to study and identify opportunities for improving their overall transportation operations. The county has experienced explosive growth over the past 20 years due in-part to its proximity to the DC metro area. This has increasingly stressed transportation, and have resulted in cost overruns during previous school years.
This district engaged in a period of study with Edulog, which first identified a series of organizational changes to their transportation department that were implemented during 2025. The focus then turned to implementing a reduction in bus routes, which was accomplished through the use of optimization tools and Edulog expertise. Currently the district will save more than 15 bus routes in the coming school year, with over $1 million in cost savings projected. Join us as Spencer Jenko takes a deep dive into this case study.
