Powerful, seamless, and low cost driver time & attendance tracking is here! edulog's eDTA allows you to track and monitor bus driver hours electronically, giving you an efficient alternative to traditional paper systems or manual time clocks.

- Record vehicle inspection times!
- Verify that drivers are on the right bus!
- Define custom labor types and pay rates!
- Eliminate wasted time!
- Increase efficiency and driver production!
- Manage by exception!
- Prevent driver abuse (padding hours)!
- Save time and money!
- Very low hardware cost - cell phone-based!
- Interface with accounting and other financial systems!
Drivers simply press a button to log in each day and then enter their driver ID and bus number. The eDTA mobile software automatically checks with the server to make sure the driver has entered a valid ID and is on the correct bus and route. It then provides to dispatch real-time notifications of whether the driver login was early, late, or on time. The end of the shift process is just as quick and simple.
You can also track and monitor the beginning and ending times of pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Additional activity types (field trip, break time, special needs vs. regular education runs, etc.) can be customized and tracked separately so that different pay rates can be used for different work hours.
With eDTA your district will reduce wasted driver time, increase productivity, and be able to track driver efficiency with the click of a mouse!
eDTA can be implemented as a stand-alone system, or seamlessly integrated as an extension of edulog's cell phone-based GPS system (EduPhone) for tracking school buses. It can also be expanded to monitor and record more detailed vehicle inspection data (see edulog's eVIS solution).

The eDTA system integrates with planned driver data provided by the district's routing and scheduling software. This allows the system to compare actual driver hours with the planned schedule for each driver on each day. This integration of actual vs. planned data is essential for tracking productivity and wasted time, compliance with vehicle inspections, and improving efficiencies. To prevent time clock abuse (padding hours), you can track drivers who log in long before they begin inspecting vehicles and driving routes-or at times different from the planned schedule.
eDTA is a valuable dispatch tool for the real-time monitoring of your fleet and drivers. You can manage by exception and focus attention on non-standard driver activities.
